Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Running a website means collecting some information about the people who visit it. This page explains exactly what Digi Ustad collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write this in plain English rather than the kind of legal language that nobody actually reads.

If you have any questions after reading this, email us at contact@DigiUstad.com and we will respond personally.

What Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

When you fill out the contact form, request a free SEO audit, or send us an email, you give us information like your name, email address, phone number, and details about your business or website. We only collect what you provide — we do not dig for anything else.

If you comment on a blog post, we collect the name, email, and website URL you enter in the comment form.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, Digi Ustad collects some basic data automatically when you visit. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, how long you spend on each page, and where you came from — for example, whether you clicked a link from Instagram or found us on Google.

We collect this through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Neither tool gives us personally identifiable information — we see aggregate data like “47 people visited this page today from Delhi” rather than who those 47 people were.

Cookies

Digi Ustad uses cookies — small text files stored on your device when you visit the site. Here is what each type does:

Essential cookies — These are necessary for the website to function. They handle things like remembering your preferences and keeping sessions active. You cannot opt out of these without breaking the site.

Analytics cookies — These are placed by Google Analytics and help us understand how people use the site — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. This helps us improve the content.

Third-party cookies — If you watch an embedded YouTube video on our blog, YouTube may set its own cookies. We have no control over those.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies entirely, though this may affect how some parts of the site work.

Why We Collect This Information

We use the information we collect for specific, limited purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiries — if you fill out the contact form or request a free audit, we use your details to get back to you
  • To provide our services — if you become a client, we use your contact and business information to deliver the SEO work you hired us for
  • To improve the website — analytics data helps us understand which content is useful and what needs improving
  • To send occasional updates — only if you have explicitly opted in, and only about SEO topics we think are genuinely useful

We do not use your information to run advertising campaigns targeted at you. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except in the specific situations described below.

Who We Share Your Information With

We share your information with very few parties — and only when necessary:

Google — We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand website traffic. Google processes data according to its own privacy policy. You can learn more at google.com/policies/privacy.

WordPress and hosting providers — Our website runs on WordPress hosted on servers that process data to keep the site running. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and do not use your data for their own purposes.

Email service providers — If we use an email platform to respond to your enquiry, your email address may pass through that platform’s servers.

That is the complete list. We do not sell data, rent it, trade it, or share it with marketers.

How Long We Keep Your Information

Enquiry and contact form data — We keep this for as long as you are a client or potential client, and for up to two years after our last communication, in case you get back in touch.

Analytics data — Google Analytics retains data for 26 months by default. We can request deletion earlier if needed.

Comment data — Comments on blog posts are kept as long as the post remains live. You can request deletion at any time.

Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you have certain rights over your personal data.

If you are in India — The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, and request deletion of your data.

If you are in the EU, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand — Applicable data protection laws in your region give you similar rights, including the right to access, correct, delete, and in some cases transfer your personal data.

For everyone — regardless of where you are, you can:

  • Ask us what personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Ask us to stop contacting you

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@DigiUstad.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website uses HTTPS encryption, contact form data is transmitted securely, and we limit access to personal information to only those who need it to do their job.

No website can guarantee 100% security — anyone who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. But we do our best to keep your data safe, and we would notify you promptly if we ever became aware of a breach affecting your data.

Children’s Privacy

Digi Ustad is a professional B2B service. Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Links to Other Websites

Our blog posts sometimes link to external websites — tools, resources, or references we think are useful. Once you leave Digi Ustad, this privacy policy no longer applies. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy from time to time — for example, when we add a new tool, change how we handle data, or when laws change. The date at the top of this page always reflects when it was last updated. If we make a significant change, we will mention it on the blog or social media.
